Clemson Downtown Corridor Study: Design Charrette

Clemson Downtown Corridor Study: Design Charrette

Event date: 9/28/2017 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM Export event

The City of Clemson is working with a design firm to develop a long-range plan for the College Avenue corridor from Highway 93 to Highway 123. The study will look into issues such as the potential removal of on-street parking, adding a parking deck, sidewalk widths, bicycle traffic, public transit, private vehicular traffic, cut-through traffic, streetscape planting and design, lighting and signage, pedestrian safety, creation of pedestrian plazas, and additional public green/park space. The public is invited to be a part of this process.

Design Charrette
Thursday, September 28, 2017
8:30 am – 6:00 pm
CAT Headquarters

This will be an all-day event during which various designers will be taking ideas developed during the public input session and from other sources and giving them form. The result will be several schematic drawings of the corridor and some sample cross-sections and/or renderings of what the street might look like in different areas.
