Artist Talk: Monday, November 6, 5:30–6:30 pm
Tom Lauerman works within the overlap of sculpture, craft and design. His objects, drawings and installations explore the emotional capacities of constructed spaces as a visual, tactile and visceral experience. In the
studio, Lauerman seeks to synthesize digital fabrication strategies and traditional craft techniques. He is a professor in ceramics and sculpture at Pennsylvania State University. His teachings instill in students the importance of being makers and creating designs that will support a wide range of STEAM-related occupations in the 21st century.
