Abernathy Park April Build: Day 3

Saturday treated us to a beautiful sunny day for our final April workday.

Having completed the walkway from the parking lot to the boardwalk as well as the larger pier with the covered picnic area on Friday, crews moved to another shorter span of decking that was on the ground and to the swing areas. Both of these areas took a considerable amount of time as more complex cuts were needed for both sections, and both the size of the swing areas and the swings themselves posed additional time consuming obstacles to our volunteers.

At this point, most of the decking over the lake and out in the sun has been replaced, but plenty is still left on either side throughout the wooded areas.
