SCDOT/Norfolk Southern Rail Bridge Construction Update

SCDOT/Norfolk Southern Rail Bridge Construction Update

Next week SCDOT will be begin removing the forms used for this weeks concrete pours and will begin painting the bridge. This is the last phase of construction and will be completed within the next 21 days.  Bridge painting will take place at night.  The form removals will take place intermittently throughout the day.  One more concrete pour is tentatively scheduled for Monday, April 15th.  Significant delays are expected to occur at the Hwy 123/133 intersection while this work is taking place.  The work schedule is set by Norfolk Southern to avoid conflicts with train traffic.
