Labor to Replace Decking at Abernathy Waterfront Park

Sealed Bids Due December 5th, 2019 at 2pm

Project Title: Labor to replace decking at Abernathy Waterfront Park located at 207 Keowee Trail. Clemson, SC 29631

Sealed bids for the labor to replace the decking at Abernathy Waterfront Park will be received at the office of Andy Blondeau at Clemson City Hall located at 1250 Tiger Blvd.  Clemson, SC 29631 until December 5, 2019 @ 2:00 pm. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time in the Council Chambers located at the same address.  The City of Clemson is not responsible for delays in the mail.  Bids received after the stated due date and time will not be accepted.  The City has the right to reject all bids will not reimburse costs related to preparation of the bid.  Bids should be clearly marked “Abernathy Park Re-decking” on the outside of the package containing the bid.  No electronic bids will be accepted.

Mandatory Pre-Bid Meetings will be held at Abernathy Park on November 20 and 22 at 4:00 p.m.  It is only necessary to attend one of the two meetings.  Bidders must attend at least one of the pre-bid meetings to be eligible to bid.

Project Scope:  All labor necessary to install approximately 185 linear feet of additional framing and replace 5,478 square feet of old wood decking with Trex material supplied by the City of Clemson.

Bidders must have or be able to obtain a South Carolina General Contractors License and carry liability insurance with $1,000,000 per occurrence minimum. 

The owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities, or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
