COVID-19 City of Clemson Update March 15, 2020 5:00pm

CITY OF CLEMSON 
ADMINISTRATION
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The City of Clemson will align with the orders and recommendations provided by the governor and the State of South Carolina’s Governing Body.

In efforts to minimize and slow the spread of COVID-19, the City of Clemson will be minimizing direct contact with the public, as well as practicing other social distancing practices.  The following actions taken by the City of Clemson will help us accomplish this:

- Council meetings and commission of council meetings will continue as scheduled.  It is recommended that you observe these meetings via the City of Clemson’s live stream on YouTube. 

- Besides the above stated meetings, all other City of Clemson public events will be postponed.

- All public reservations for City of Clemson facilities are suspended.

- City payment collection counters will not be accepting payments in person.  Acceptable ways to make City payments are listed below by departments:

Utility Billing and Services:
- The City of Clemson will suspend water service disconnects for late or non-payment as ordered by the governor until April 1st, 2020. 

- Four ways to make your utility service payment

1. Utility Payments may be made online by clicking here
2. Drop off payment at Utility depository box (outside the Utility Billing entrance, Utility Billing, 1250 Tiger Blvd STE 2, Clemson, SC 29631)
3. By phone 864-653-2035, then press option 4.  (This option only available during normal business hours.)
4. By mail (Utility Billing, 1250 Tiger Blvd STE 2, Clemson, SC 29631)

IMPORTANT! Please be aware that third party bill pay sites are NOT in any way affiliated with the City of Clemson. Payments made through these sites are not guaranteed; they may not arrive on time, may not be applied to the account properly, and could result in late fees or disconnections. The City of Clemson would like to advise customers paying online to use only our website, linked below, for payments to us.

 - The City of Clemson will be accepting new utility service applications, but will not accept them in person

- Three ways to complete and submit a new utility service application:

1. Complete new service application online by clicking here
2. Download and Complete the Mail-In Application.  Mail the completed service agreement to Utility Billing, 1250 Tiger Blvd STE 2, Clemson, SC 29631.  Please include a check or money order for the security deposit ($75 if you're the owner and $150 if you're renting) and administrative fee ($18), and a photocopy of your government issued ID (example: driver's license or passport).
3. Download and Complete the Mail-In Application.
