This public mural project was initiated earlier this year by the City’s Arts and Culture Commission as a way of establishing a public art presence in downtown Clemson. This public mural project was initiated earlier this year by the City’s Arts and Culture Commission, and a Request for Proposals was released in late January. Click here to view the full RFP and details of the project. After receiving all proposals, the Arts and Culture Commission met and discussed each entry and narrowed the options to three. Each of these artists were asked to make some adjustments to their entries and re-submit. After a slight delay due to COVID-19, the Commission met again to discuss these entries and submitted them to Judge Keller’s for approval of the three designs. The final designs are pictured below.
