Duke Energy Outage Update October 30, 2020 - as of 10:30am

Here is the latest from Duke Energy:
"Crews are reporting for duty and being assigned work and local guides. This will be a multi-day response event for the Anderson/Oconee/Pickens area due to the rural setting of the majority of the county and numbers of trees sustaining damage. Each line must be inspected from the substation to the customer meter and trees need to be removed before damage can be repaired. This is a labor intensive and time consuming process. Today will focus on getting the remaining vital customers on like hospitals, nursing homes, water and wastewater facilities.

We will be adding blanket ETR’s (Estimated Time of Restoration), to the website, which indicates the estimated time when we get the very last customer back on. Some estimates go as long as Monday 11/2."
