The City of Clemson is seeking interested residents to serve on one of the following boards:
Accommodations Tax Committee
2 positions – 3 year terms
1 position must be filled by someone in the cultural industry in the City of Clemson
1 position must be filled someone in the hospitality industry in the City of Clemson
Arts and Culture Commission
3 positions – 3 year terms
2 positions must be filled by City of Clemson residents
1 position must be filled by a member of the arts faculty or Brooks Center at Clemson University
Board of Zoning Appeals
3 positions – 3 year terms
Positions must be filled by City of Clemson residents
Building/Fire Board of Appeals
2 positions – 4 year terms
Positions must be filled by City of Clemson residents who are qualified by experience and training to pass on matters
pertaining to building construction and fire codes
Economic Development Advisory Committee
3 positions – 3 year terms
1 position: City of Clemson resident
1 position: a business owner operating in the City of Clemson
1 position: someone from banking/financial institution operating in the City of Clemson
Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee
2 positions – 3 year terms
Positions must be filled by City of Clemson residents
Planning Commission
2 positions – 4 year terms
Positions must be filled by City of Clemson residents
Police Advisory Board
4 positions – 3 year terms
Positions must be filled by City of Clemson residents
These are all volunteer positions appointed by City Council.
