ACTION ITEMS

  • Traffic along 123, particularly the Chick-Fil-A area.
    • Status:  City Administrator is checking on the specific law on traffic on Hwy 123. 
  • Excessive noise downtown.
    • Status:  City Administrator will look into it.
    • Potential actions:
      • Uniformly apply the noise ordinance
      • Work with Police Chief to make sure officers address complaints the same way
      • Police officer education about the noise ordinance
      • Post noise ordinance
      • Look into permits for loud noise
  • Bus shelter at Wal Mart.
    • Status:  Currently underway.
  • Bus shelters  at Douthit Hills.
    • Status:  City Administrator will look into it.
  • Expand areas of mosquito fogging truck in the Beeson, Vista, and Red Hill area. 
    • Status: City Administrator will look into it.
  • Need a "No Thru Traffic" sign at Red Hill .  
    • Status: City Administrator will look into it.
  • Need to increase public knowledge of  impact fees paid by developers.  
    • Action: Post impact fees for developments/educational Info if possible.
  • Removing old cars in people’s yards.
    • Status: Residents should contact Hunnicut Lindsay (864-653-2050) in these instances.
  • Turn off lane in median near Vista if possible.
    • Status: City Administrator will look into it.
  • Put up another "Residents Only" sign at North Clemson Ave.
    • Status: City Administrator will look into it.   
  • Speed bumps near 207 Butler Street.   
    • Status: City Administrator will look into it.
    • Potential actions:  Post the procedure for requesting speed bumps.
    • Updates: Procedure has been on website, but not easily accessible. Has been linked under the "How Do I" menu under "Request Speed Humps." Click here to access this page. 
  • Cars parking in front of Tiger Walk at the Esso Club.
    • Status:  City Administrator will look into it.
  • Speed limit sign on Hedgerow Lane. 
    • Status:  City Administrator will look into it.

DISCUSSION ITEMS

  • hat can we do with Highway 93 so it doesn’t end up looking like Hwy 123.
  • Citizen participation in Council meetings.
  • Help police officers and other city jobs with possible assistance with housing in Clemson.
  • “Sticker program” for residents.  Demonstrate the benefits of being a resident. 
  • Relationship with Clemson University.
  • New development off Hunter Road.
