Public Hearing Topics

R-000008-2021 Proposed Map Amendment: An application for a Zoning Map Amendment (Rezoning) was submitted by the owner (Cambridge Creek, LLC - Mr. Eric Newton) on September 8, 2021. As proposed, a .49-acre parcel (#4054-12-97-0375) located at the intersection of Berkeley Drive and Old Greenville Highway would be rezoned from R-20 Single-family District to RM-3 Multi-family District. The Planning Commission approved the request on October 11, 2021.

2021-R-07 Proposed Text Amendment (By-Right Development): The draft proposes to permit mixed-use structures as conditional uses in the C and CM Districts, with the existing ban on residential development in CP-1 and CP-2 continued unless done as a planned development. For those projects situated in the C and CM Districts, the current setback, parking, and architectural standards will continue to apply, but the height will be limited to three stories. A definition of ‘story’ is proposed for clarity. The Planning Commission approved the draft on October 11, 2021.
