NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022-23
Pursuant to Section 6-1-80 of the South Carolina Code of Laws, the City of Clemson, South Carolina hereby gives notice of a public hearing to be held on its proposed municipal budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022 and ending June 30, 2023. The public hearing will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers (upper level), 1250 Tiger Blvd. The Governing Body will receive public comment at the beginning of the public hearing. Millage for fiscal year 2022-23 is 85.75 mills, allocated as follows:
General Fund 79.97, Park Land Fund 0.46, Debt Service Fund 4.43, Hospitality Debt Service Fund 0.89.
Proposed millage for fiscal year 2021-22 is 80.50 mills and will be allocated as follows:
General Fund 74.53, Park Land Fund 0.46, Debt Service Fund 4.60, Hospitality Debt Service Fund 0.91.
Projected revenues from ad valorem taxes for fiscal year 2022-23 are $7,568,700. Local Option Sales Tax revenue is estimated to be
$2,172,200 while Hospitality Fees & Taxes are forecasted at $1,650,000
