Dockside Pipe Burst and Building Safety

Over the Christmas holiday, the area experienced record low temperatures with wind chills in the negatives. This resulted in frozen pipes, some of which did burst. This is the case with building two at Dockside. Building one is not affected and can be inhabited.

Due to this pipe burst, both elevators in building two are inoperable, as are the fire suppression and alarm systems. Because of these inoperable life safety systems, water in electrical areas, water in lights, water behind the walls, and the threat of mold, building two has been closed. As these systems are repaired and become operable, the Fire Marshal will be able to begin reopening areas and units. Until then, the City is allowing access to the units by the tenants to retrieve belongs, but they will not be permitted to stay in the residence.

The City of Clemson will provide updates regarding the habitability of the location as they become available.

All concerns regarding specific units, individual leases, alternative lodging, how long repairs will take, etc. should be addressed to Dockside Management.
