The City of Clemson is seeking resident volunteers to serve on the NEW Sustainability Committee!

This Committee will be responsible for:

  • making recommendations to Council regarding natural resources
  • promoting awareness of sustainable practices within the community
  • bringing together different perspectives and expertise to ensure that sustainability initiatives are responsive to the community's needs and concerns.

Please note: Council must approve a second reading of the ordinance creating this committee before it is official.

Seeking Student Volunteers to Serve on the Police Advisory Board!

  • 1 must be filled by a high school student living in the City of Clemson (at least 15, no older than 18)
  • 1 must be filled by a representative of the student body of Clemson University

The Committee will be responsible for:

  • facilitating communication between the community and police department.
  • advising the police department regarding issues facing the community.
  • assisting the police department in support of grants, strategies, implementation, and monitoring of projects.

Please note: meetings of the Police Advisory Board are held monthly on the 4th Thursday of the month.

Seeking Volunteer to Serve on the Economic Development Advisory Committee

1 position
Must be filled by the owner of a business located on Highway 93.
Term expires February 2025

The Committee will be responsible for studying, reporting, and making recommendations to Council in order to promote quality economic development – including commercial, small business, research, and light industry – and promote the development of residential housing in the city.
