June 18, 2024: POTENTIAL DISCOLORED WATER NOTICE

June 18, 2024: POTENTIAL DISCOLORED WATER NOTICE

June 18, 2024

The City of Clemson has been notified that our water supplier, Anderson Joint Regional Water System (AJRWS), will be conducting maintenance on the Clemson Booster Pump Station during the early morning hours of June 18, 2024. During this maintenance, the pump station will be taken offline and bypassed. The work will not cause a disruption of flow or pressure to the water system, but may result in a temporary slight discoloration of water. If discoloration of the water does occur, the Utilities Department will be flushing the system to remove the discolored water. The water will be safe to consume and use as normal throughout this process.

If you experience any discolored water in your home, we ask that you flush your home system for approximately 5-15 minutes from one of your bathtub faucets or exterior faucets. After flushing, if the water in your home is still discolored please contact the City of Clemson Utilities Department for assistance.

If you have any questions concerning this notice, please call the City of Clemson Utilities Department at 864-653-2046 during normal business hours or the Police Department at 864-624-2000 after normal business hours.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this maintenance.
