September 26, 2024 - 8:30am

The National Weather Service has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for our area beginning Thursday, September 26th at 5:00am.  A Flash Flood Flood Warning has also been issued for our area and will remain in effect until Thursday, September 26th at 3:15pm. 


September 25, 2024 - 2:00pm

The National Weather Service has issued a Tropical Storm Watch for our area beginning Wednesday, September 25th at 11:00am and continuing until Friday, September 27th at 11:00am. A Flood Watch has also been issued for our area and will remain in effect until Friday, September 27th at 2:00pm.

Current projections indicate that the Upstate may see 5-10 inches of rainfall, with potential flash flooding beginning Wednesday night thru Friday. Additionally, concerns for high winds and tornadoes are elevated.

If you must be out driving during this storm, please exercise extreme caution. If you see a flooded road, please DO NOT attempt to drive across it. Turn around and call the City of Clemson Utilities Department (864-653-2046) or the City of Clemson Police Department (864-624-2000). Remember, turn around, don’t drown.

Throughout this weather event, the City will provide updates on the latest forecast changes, emergency notifications, and any necessary road closures and additional precautions.
