Proposed TIF Information

Proposed TIF Information

On November 12, 2024, the City held a community informational meeting regarding the proposed Workforce Affordable Housing TIF project. This meeting served as a chance for residents to ask questions about the project, which were then compiled and sent to the TIF Consultant, Tripp Muldrow, for him to answer and to prepare for the November 21, 2024 meeting where residents could get more clarification on the project with these questions and could ask further questions.

Prior to these meetings, an initial FAQ document was also posted. This document still has a lot of relevant information, but some of the specific amounts have changed since the publication of this document due to the School District of Pickens County opting out of the project.

A Public Hearing regarding the proposed TIF will be held on December 2nd at 5:30pm.

More information on this Public Hearing

Second reading for the proposed TIF is scheduled to take place at the December 16th City Council meeting.
