Bree Sanders Named Public Information Officer For The City Of Clemson
Clemson, S.C. (January 15, 2025) – The City of Clemson has named Bree Sanders as its first Public Information Officer. She began her position on Monday, January 6.
As the PIO, Sanders will coordinate communications for the City, including serving as a liaison between the City and the news media to ensure a positive public image and the timely release of information to citizens.
“We are thrilled to welcome Bree to our team. Her leadership and expertise will be invaluable as we strive to improve communication and transparency within our community,” said Deputy City Administrator Allison Gantte. “Bree will help us tell the story of Clemson, connecting with residents and showcasing all that our city has to offer.”
Prior to joining the City, Sanders was previously the Promotions Manager for WSPA 7NEWS, where she worked for ten years creating station and news marketing content to boost community engagement and build brand awareness.
“What a week to start with our first snow in three years! I was able to jump right in and inform our hard-working staff and the community about the efforts being made to keep the City safe during inclement weather,” Sanders said. “It is a true privilege to join the City of Clemson in this inaugural role, and I look forward to building stronger relationships and telling the City’s story.”
Sanders is a 2014 graduate of Georgia Southern University, where she majored in Multimedia Communications and minored in Public Relations. She grew up in Commerce, Georgia but has called the Upstate home for more than a decade and is honored to serve the citizens of Clemson.
