Love Smart: A Community Workshop Event
February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. In recognition of this important month, we invite you to join us for a special community workshop event, "Love Smart," happening Saturday, February 22 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Abel Baptist Church (150 Abel Road, Clemson, SC).
This event offers age-appropriate workshops for individuals aged ten and up and is designed to promote healthy, God-centered relationships and prevent dating violence and raise awareness about dating violence, criminal sexual conduct, and legal rights. The program will feature an opening with prayer, a reading of the TDVAM Proclamation, songs of praise from local youth groups, and a praise dance performance by Sister Audrey Johnson.
In addition, we will also host an informative panel discussion specifically for parents. This panel will bring together a diverse group of experts, including pastors, teachers, community leaders, state and local law enforcement representatives, mental health organizations, and other professionals. The panel will address crucial topics related to teen dating violence, offering parents guidance and support in navigating these complex issues.
"Love Smart" is more than just a workshop; it's an opportunity for unity, fellowship, education, and more.
