Pickens County Multi-Road Construction: Working To Improve Your Drive!

Drivers across several Pickens County roads should prepare for possible traffic delays as the South Carolina Department Of Transportation (SCDOT) begins multi-road construction. The following roads will be affected:

  • Chastain Road
  • Crestview Road
  • Old Cherry Road
  • Grant Valley Road
  • Piney Trail Road

Starting this month and expected to continue through June 30, 2025, residents can anticipate lane closures and active roadwork in these areas. The project, contracted to King Asphalt, Inc., aims to deliver a significantly improved roadway for the community. 

Remember, this is a work zone and extreme caution is necessary. Drivers are urged to be particularly vigilant and reduce speeds, as personnel and heavy equipment will be operating in close proximity to travel lanes. This is crucial for the safety of both construction workers and drivers.
