Beginning May 2021, the public can attend City of Clemson public meetings in person.  COVID Protocol will be in place for social distancing, and masks are required for entry into City Hall.

How to make a public comment:
1.  In person
2.  On the City's MyCivic web platform (up to 2pm the day of the meeting).  Click Here 
3.  Call in by phone during the meeting by dialing 864-653-9886 at the appropriate time.

Approval of Minutes – September 20, 2021

Reports/Discussion Agenda
a. Discuss amending City Code Sec 9-37 Sanitation, garbage and trash collection to affirm and clarify that the residential sanitation fee is a mandatory uniform service charge with no opt out and is used to cover costs associated with the management of residential solid waste services, including collection, and processing of recyclable materials and the collection, transport, handling and landfilling of residential solid waste – Utility Billing Director Heather Cartee.
b. Consider the City Attorney drafting an Ordinance to prohibit open carry of firearms at outside public events – Police Chief Jorge Campos.
c. Discuss the Redevelopment Workshop Schedule and possible amendments to Strategic Plan Ordinance #1 (CC-2021-17-SP1) – City Administrator Andy Blondeau

Ordinances:

a. Consider 2nd Reading of an Ordinance for a text amendment to the City Code to create a new Zoning District R-7 – Planning & Codes Director Todd Steadman.
b. Consider 2nd Reading of an Ordinance to require persons and/or entities desiring water and/or sewer service at locations outside the City’s corporate boundaries may be provided such service at the City’s sole discretion and must submit a petition or annexation or execute an annexation covenant to run with the property or both – City Administrator Andy Blondeau.
c. Consider 1st Reading to repeal the current City Business License Ordinance and replace it with the 2022 Model Business License Ordinance as required by SC Business License Tax Standardization Act 176 – City Clerk Beverly Coleman.

Other Policy Items
a. Consider approval of an Agreement for legal services between the City of Clemson and Mary C. McCormac, Attorney at Law, LLC – City Administrator Andy Blondeau.
b. Consider repealing the curbside pickup parking spaces program Council enacted in response to the pandemic – Community & Economic Development Coordinator Lindsey Newton.
c. Consider any amendments necessary for the current Mask Ordinance –City Administrator Andy Blondeau.
