PUBLIC NOTICE
The City of Clemson is seeking interested residents to serve on one of the following boards:
Accommodations Tax Committee
1 position – 3 year term
1 position must be filled by a cultural interested representative in the City of Clemson.
Residency not required but preferred.
Building/Fire Board of Appeals
1 position – 4 year terms
Positions must be filled by City of Clemson residents who are qualified by experience and training to pass on matters pertaining to building construction and fire codes
Board of Zoning Appeals
3 positions – 3 year terms
Positions must be filled by City of Clemson residents.
Economic Development Advisory Board
4 positions – 3 year terms
1 position must be filled by a business OWNER in the Highway 123 corridor in the City of Clemson
1 position must be filled by a business OWNER in the Downtown corridor in the City of Clemson
1 position must be filled by an at-large business owner in the City of Clemson
1 position must be filled by City of Clemson residents
Residency for business owner positions not required but preferred.
Parks, Recreation, Arts, Culture, and Tourism Advisory Board
4 positions – 3 year term
1 position must be filled by a City of Clemson residents
1 position must be filled by a City of Clemson resident representative of arts
1 position must be filled by a City of Clemson resident representative of culture
1 position must be filled by a visual or performing artist (residency not required)
Police Advisory Board
1 position – 1 year term
1 position must be filled by a City of Clemson resident currently in high school.
These are all volunteer positions appointed by City Council.
