City of Clemson Boil Water Advisory

City of Clemson Boil Water Advisory

Ligon St. and Cedarwood

The City of Clemson advises the residents of Ligon Street and Cedarwood Apartments in the City of Clemson, located in Pickens County, to vigorously boil their water for at least one (1) full minute prior to drinking or cooking.  Residents should continue to vigorously boil their water for at least one (1) full minute prior to drinking or cooking until otherwise notified by the City of Clemson. Also, any ice made from water which has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes.  This advisory is being issued as a precaution only due to a water line tie in on Ligon Street.  A new line was installed with new valves, and this will help with water flow in the area.  If you should have any questions concerning this advisory, you may call the City of Clemson Utilities Department at 864-653-2046 or the Police Department at 864-624-2000 after normal business hours.  You may also refer to the City of Clemson’s web page at www.cityofclemson.org for updated information.

The City of Clemson will collect water samples in this area.  Water sample testing results should be completed around 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018 and posted to the City of Clemson web site.
