The Public Works Department has been working diligently to keep up with garbage, recycling and brush pickup service. Our crews are working 7 days a week and to date have hauled 200 loads of brush to the landfill since the tornado on April 13th. So far they have covered 60% of the City but have run into delays due to providing mutual aid to Seneca, the brush grinder being out of commission for two weeks, and having limited staff due to COVID 19. Having the grinder down delayed our progress because we had to take each load to the landfill. The grinder is back in operation so we will be able to move quicker by eliminating this hour long round trip. Please bear with us as we make our rounds and we will get to you very shortly.
