Tri-County Technical College is pleased to announce that we will reopen and resume in-person instruction for the summer term. At this time, we also plan to offer in-person instruction for the fall term.
Our reopen plan has three phases, and each phase gets us closer to our goal of returning to full campus operations in August. However, progress through the phases is contingent upon the directives of South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, the president of TCTC, and guidance from local health authorities. Accordingly, the plan is subject to change.

When students begin returning to campus on June 19, physical distancing requirements will be in place, and everyone will be strongly encouraged to wear a cloth face covering when in common areas or when unable to maintain six feet of distance from another person. These safety measures are consistent with CDC guidelines and other colleges and universities in our area, and we anticipate they will remain in place through the fall term.
We know there is a lot of uncertainty right now, and our leaders want to assure you that Tri-County is doing everything possible to ensure our students stay on track academically and meet the goals they set prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes continuing to offer a mix of in-person, hybrid and online courses, as well as continuing to offer student support services in both a virtual and in-person format.
As we near the start of the 2020-2021 academic year, we will look back on this time and know that we demonstrated great resolve in finding new ways to serve our students and communities in the face of an unprecedented crisis. We appreciate your continued support during these trying times and look forward to welcoming you back to our campuses in the near future.
