Clemson University continues to test the levels of SARS-CoV-2 in the University and City Wastewater Treatment Facilities, including the University Plant, Clemson's Cochran Road Plant, and the Pendleton Plant, which also serves a portion of the City of Clemson. Dr. David Freedman presented some of these testing results to Council at the Special Called Meeting on June 24th.

The full results as of July 8th are included below, and other results are forthcoming. We will continue to update as we receive more test results.
Thus far, these results indicate that the virus is being actively transmitted in the Clemson area. Wearing a face covering has been shown to decrease the likelihood of transmission, especially when done in conjunction with social distancing. We're hopeful the mask ordinance will help, and we do see some decrease in the latest numbers, we may not see full results from the ordinance for another week or two.
