On Martin Luther King Day, January 18th, I will lead an Eagle project at Shanklin-Sams Greenspace. Shanklin Sams is a small area of land in downtown Clemson on North Clemson Ave and is near Spill the Beans and the University Lutheran Church.
I will lead you in building a LOOP trail in the forested area within the greenspace and marking plant species with interpretative signs. Most of the work on Monday will be cutting the trail. We will meet there at 9:00 am and finish by 4:00 pm, although you can work different hours within that time. Dress for the weather.. Because of COVID-19 MASKS will be required, no exceptions. We will follow social distancing rules as best we can. Tools will be provided but if you have a good weed eater please contact me. We will have extra work gloves on-site but bring your own if you have a pair.
If you plan on attending, let me know at dchenry85@gmail.com
Martin Luther King Day is valued as a day of service so you'd be doing good by attending and a scout does a good deed daily.
