Notice of Public Hearing
The City of Clemson City Council will hold a livestreamed public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2021 in the Council Chambers at City Hall on the item described below.
Please note that City Hall is currently closed to the public due to the ongoing COVID pandemic. Everyone is invited to view the hearing on the City of Clemson YouTube channel. Comments may be submitted by telephone during the hearing by dialing 864-653-9886 and following the instructions.

2021-R-04 (Strategic Plan Ordinance #1): Proposed Text Amendment
(Ban on New Mixed-use Buildings, Multi-family Dwellings, and Townhomes in the City of Clemson)
The proposed text amendment will ban new mixed-use buildings, multi-family buildings, and townhomes by amending Chapter 19 (Zoning) of City Code to remove them as a permitted use anywhere in the City. This action stems from recommendations of the "Strategic Plan" delivered to the City in November of 2020; and follows up on Resolution 2020-0013 passed by City Council on November 23, 2020.
The session will include an overview of the proposed text amendment presented by staff prior to the opportunity for public input. Links to copies of related documents can be found on the online City Calendar at: www.cityofclemson.org
