Discolored Water Issue in the City of Clemson

Discolored Water Issue in the City of Clemson

The City of Clemson is experiencing discolored water that is coming from the Anderson Regional Joint Water System, ARJWS.   There are no health risks associated with this discolored water.   We apologize for this inconvenience.

Statement from Anderson Regional Joint Water System:

Our water supplier, the Anderson Regional Joint Water System, has confirmed a color issue in the drinking water caused by manganese.  Manganese occurs naturally in rocks and soil and can be found in water, food, and air.  Adjustments have been made to the treatment process; however, we may see this event work its way through our system over the next 48-72 hours.  Please know that the water is safe.
