City of Clemson in Top 10 Safest Cities

The City of Clemson has been named one of the top 10 safest cities in the state of SC by Safewise. Safewise uses FBI crime statistics to analyze the safest cities in each state and the country, and this analysis places Clemson at number 9 in South Carolina - 2 spaces higher than last year!

Violent crime in South Carolina decreased this year—dropping by 2%—it went down from 5.3 incidents per 1,000 people to 5.2. Property crime continued a downward trend, falling from 27.2 crimes per 1,000 people to 25.9.

In Clemson, the violent crime rate is 1.9 incidents per 1,000. In 2023, property crimes were 21.0 crimes per 1,000 people.
