Short Trip Survey

Ten at the Top is working on ways to facilitate more active and livable communities in the Upstate. One thing they are interested in is patterns of behavior as they relate to “short trips”. They have developed a survey with the goal being to find out how many short trips people are making and by what means, and find out if they would be agreeable to taking those trips by walking, biking, or transit if better options existed. For the purpose of this survey they are considering a “short trip” to be less than 2 miles one-way. Getting folks to complete the survey will help us come up with some possible solutions to improving the manner in which we move about in the Upstate - at both the community and regional level - and connect people to destinations. Taking a minute to complete the survey will help Clemson gather important data related to more effective ways to get around and hopefully reduce vehicular traffic.

Across the nation when intense personal crisis and community-wide disasters occur, the first access point for those seeking all classes of emergency services is 9-1-1.  The local and county emergency communications centers that receive these calls have emerged as the first and single point of contact for persons seeking immediate relief during an emergency.

The ClemsonNext committee, which includes members of the Planning Commission, will be meeting April 14th, 2021 at 8am. 

Please note that for the public, in person attendance is currently not allowed at City Hall due to the ongoing COVID pandemic.  Everyone is invited to view/attend the meeting/hearing via zoom.
