The City of Clemson will align with the orders and recommendations provided by the governor and the State of South Carolina’s Governing Body.

In efforts to minimize and slow the spread of COVID-19, the City of Clemson will be minimizing direct contact with the public, as well as practicing other social distancing practices.  The following actions taken by the City of Clemson will help us accomplish this:

CENTRAL-CLEMSON RECREATION CENTER
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

The Central-Clemson Indoor Recreation Center will be closed starting Monday, March 16th, to align with the closure of Pickens County Public Schools.  The Central-Clemson  Indoor Recreation Center will resume normal operations when Pickens County Public Schools reopen.

A malicious website pretending to be the live map for Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases by Johns Hopkins University is circulating on the internet waiting for unwitting internet users to visit the website.

City officials are committed to providing ongoing, accurate information to our entire community. This site houses all important notifications, resources and latest Corona Virus (COVID-19) news. 

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that cause respiratory infections ranging from the common cold to more serious diseases such as pneumonia, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), and Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome (MERS). COVID-19 was originally thought to have spread from animal to person, but person-to-person spread is now occurring.
